The pandemic made officials at Duke and Duke Kunshan get creative in building flexible arrangements for students who couldn't make it to China. The solution was to make each campus a home for those students who couldn’t make it to the other. Duke offered all Duke Kunshan students who were already in the U.S. and couldn’t get to China the chance to come to Duke instead. Duke Kunshan extended the same offer to Duke students in China who couldn’t get to the United States.

In the end, 58 students in the Class of 2022 completed their studies in Durham and participated in graduation ceremonies this week at Duke. Here are several photos tracking the year for the more than 200 Duke Kunshan students who spent at least one semester in Durham.
