Deadline Approaching for Mid-Year Changes to Reimbursement Accounts
Participates must make changes by Sept. 15, 2021
The deadline for participants to make mid-year changes to their 2021 Health Care Reimbursement and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement accounts is September 15, 2021.
Earlier this year, legislative changes enabled Duke to allow participants the flexibility to make mid-year changes to Health Care Reimbursement and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, including increasing/decreasing individual contribution amounts.
Additionally, a tax change effective for calendar year 2021 increased the maximum contribution employees could contribute to a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account, up to a limit of $10,500 for employees earning under $130,000 in 2020.
Participants interested in making changes to their 2021 Health Care and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account, should follow the instructions for making prospective changes found on the Duke Human Resources website.
