Work will take place to repair water leak

Duke’s Facilities Management Department will close off access to Searle Center Drive for several days beginning Oct. 7 as part of work to repair a leaking water main on Research Drive.

From 7 a.m. Oct. 7 to 7 a.m. Oct. 10, only emergency vehicles will be allowed on Searle Center Drive. All other motorists will be restricted to one lane at the road’s Research Drive intersection, which will have crews or signage to help direct traffic.

Searle Center Drive will partially reopen for a several days from Oct. 10 to 13, in order for repaving to take place. During the repaving, both Searle Center Drive and its intersection at Research Dive will be one way and have traffic control to keep vehicles moving smoothly. Both lanes will reopen Oct. 14.
