Medical Center Bookstore to host clearance sale Oct. 5 to 7
Next week presents Duke community members with a one-of-a-kind sale at the Medical Center Bookstore.
Duke Stores will host its biggest clearance sale in 10 years, offering discounts of up to 75 percent off collegiate and athletic Duke merchandise, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants and more. Prices range from $4 and $5 T-shirts to $10 for a hooded sweatshirt. Upward of 10,000 items will be for sale, ranging in adult sizes small to XXXL.
The store will have extended hours during the sale, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 5 to 7. The Medical Center Bookstore is in Room 0001 in the lower level of Duke Clinic, near the blue and gray elevators. Directions can be found on this map.
“As we sell through products and seasonal items change, we end up with numerous items to clear before the next season and styles arrive,” said Jim Wilkerson, director of trademark licensing and Duke Stores operations. “These are all the usual high-quality, popular Duke items.”
As many as 30 display racks and tables will be set up in the store with clothing items organized by size and style. Any items left over after the three sales days will go back to Duke Stores’ distribution center until another clearance sale, later this fall.
In addition to deeply discounted items, shoppers will also be able to sign up for special drawings that will give away headphones, wireless speakers and gift cards.
