Time for Mail Pick Up Changes for Two Routes
Starting June 1, mail for two routes will be picked up in the morning instead of afternoon
Due to mail processing changes at the United States Postal Service, Duke will adjust the times when it sorts and delivers mail beginning June 1.
This change means pickup/delivery times for mail, including inter-department envelopes, will be earlier in the day for these two campus postal routes:
- Green Route, which serves primarily off-site and outlying Medical Center buildings such as North Pavilion, Elf and Elder Streets, John Hope Franklin Center, Trent Hall and Hanes House.
- Star Route, which serves a wide range of University and Medical Center locations from the Duke Press Warehouse to Morreene Road and Broad Street, as well as the Center for Living Campus.
Currently, Duke operates five postal routes; the other three routes will not change. The only action required on the part of customers is to ensure outgoing mail on the Green and Star routes is ready for pick up in the morning, not the afternoon.
