A new study from Duke researchers finds that chimp bullies are more likely to become fathers. The study spanned 17 years and the theory is that the intimidated females are more likely to acquiesce to mating with the bully males.

Duke’s undergraduate curriculum, approved in 1999, is under review. The new curriculum is being drawn up by a committee, with plenty of time for review and comment. It is still 3 years away from being enacted.

Finally, Duke alum Scott Bradford has co-founded the Let There Be Rock school in Durham. The music instruction school uses both individual and collaborative, band-style learning.
