Before coming to Duke, the Hershey, Pa., resident played in the Harrisburg Youth Symphony, the Pennsylvania All-State Orchestra, and the National High School Honors Orchestra, although Wednesday night will be her first time performing a concerto as soloist with an orchestra.
The program includes Britten's "Simple Symphony for Strings, Op. 4"; "Overture to Iphigenie en Aulide" by Gluck as revised by Richard Wagner; and Wagner's "Good Friday Spell Music" from Parsifal and his overture to "Rienzi."
