ASA Presents Lunar New Year Celebration
Asian Students Association hosts one of Duke's premier cultural exhibitions
On Saturday, Feb. 23, the Asian Students Association hosted the Lunar New Year celebration, their largest event and one of Duke's premier cultural exhibitions. The event showcased student music and dance acts based on East Asian culture.
First, students dined to a communal Asian dinner in the Great Hall catered by various Asian restaurants in the Triangle area, before heading over to Page Auditorium for the show. The event celebrated the Chinese New Year with traditional performances including the dragon dance wu long and presented a variety of acts from spoken word and comedic martial arts to step performances.
