Traffic Advisory: Boiler Delivery Saturday On West Campus
Traffic may be slowed while a large boiler is delivered to Coal Pile Drive
Motorists traveling along the north part of West Campus should expect delays between 7 a.m. and noon Saturday as Facilities Management delivers a steam boiler to the West Campus Steam Plant. The delivery is part of Duke's renovations of the historic plant.
Starting at about 7 a.m., a 100-feet long tractor trailer rig will slowly travel from Morreene Road to Erwin Road, before turning onto Research Drive and parking on Coal Pile Drive. The tractor trailer rig will follow the same route while leaving campus around noon.
Road crew members will be stationed along the route to support safe movement of the delivery truck and general traffic.
