Renewal Begins For Duke Gyms

With new weight room equipment in the Wilson Recreation Center and basketball, swimming and racquetball available at the Brodie Recreation Center, Duke faculty and staff have plenty of easily accessible ways to stay fit.Starting Wednesday, Duke employees can begin renewal of their Duke facility memberships, including the option to enroll year-round for a discounted price.Duke's annual membership renewal for access to the Wilson and Brodie recreation centers begins June 15, with current memberships set to expire at midnight June 30. Duke employees can pay their monthly individual membership fee of $21.60 through payroll deduction. Spouses, same-sex partners and dependents can also be added to a family plan, which costs $43.20 per month.Members have several renewal options:Use the DukeCard Express Station  in the lobby of the Wilson Recreation CenterVisit the DukeCard website Stop by the DukeCard office at 100 West Campus Union Building Faculty and staff can also sign up for access to Duke's recreation centers through the Duke Fitness Club, a program that offers discounted gym memberships to faculty, staff, retirees and their spouses, same-sex partners and dependents. About 930 employees are currently enrolled in the program for access to Wilson and Brodie - the Duke Fitness Club also offers discounts to 19 other locations throughout the Triangle. Run by LIVE FOR LIFE, Duke's employee wellness program, the Duke Fitness Club offers a discounted individual membership rate of $17.33 per month through payroll deduction. The Duke Fitness Club doesn't offer a discounted family plan rate.
