NYSE Euronext CEO to Address Duke Students, Meet With N.C. Executives

Duncan L. Niederauer will hold a discussion with Duke students on “Reinventing the American Dream Through Entrepreneurship and Innovation” Sept. 14.

Duncan L. Niederauer, chief executive officer of NYSE Euronext, will hold a discussion with Duke University students on "Reinventing the American Dream Through Entrepreneurship and Innovation" at 4 p.m. Sept. 14.

This session, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Fuqua School of Business' Geneen Auditorium, on Duke's West Campus.

In addition, North Carolina business leaders have been invited for a private meeting with Niederauer during his visit to Duke for a discussion on issues of state and regional significance.

Prior to taking his current position as CEO of NYSE Euronext, Niederauer was president and co-chief operating officer. He joined NYSE Euronext in 2007, previously serving as managing director and co-head of the equities division execution services at Goldman, Sachs & Co. His service at Goldman, Sachs & Co. spanned 22 years.

Niederauer's visit to Duke is part of Fuqua's Distinguished Speaker Series, which since 1984 has brought a variety of corporate leaders to campus. The series allows leaders of the world's most business thought leaders to share their insights into current business issues and corporate strategies with Duke students.
