ePrint Upgrade Scheduled for July 27

New system will bring faster printing, greater compatibility

The ePrint system will be unavailable from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, while the system is upgraded.

 Benefits of the upgraded system include:

* Compatibility with newer, 64-bit computers

* Compatibility with Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems

* Improved support for different paper sizes, color matching, duplex (two-sided) printing

* Faster printing

* Automatic updating of the software

* Improved information to the user about printer status

* Integration of different print queues across campus

Once the upgrade is in place, users will have to change settings on their computers to get ePrint to work again. The changes are easy enough for many users to make themselves, but local IT support will be able to help faculty and staff with the changes, and the OIT Service Desk (including the Service Desk personnel at The Link) will be ready to help students.

See how to get help in person or via phone, e-mail, chat or online form.
