Students Pack Bryan Center for Career Fair

Duke students met with potential employers at a career fair on Wednesday that filled two floors of the Bryan Center. Seventy-six companies, nonprofit groups, government agencies and other organizations participated in the event, including new recruiters who ranged from Turner Broadcasting to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The event was preceded the previous evening by a "TechConnect" gathering that focused on engineering and technical careers.

William Wright-Swadel, head of Duke's Career Center, was pleased with how many recruiters participated despite the economic downturn, saying "it shows the strength of our excellent students and of Duke itself."
