When the Mingus Big Band came to campus in October, the band members took time to work with Duke jazz students and offer their take on the musical legacy of the legendary bassist and band leader Charles Mingus. In an example of Durham musical partnership, the students in the notable N.C. Central University jazz program were invited to participate as well.
