AN ANNUAL TRADITION
Each year, Duke University stores commissions a series of hand-painted glass ornaments featuring beloved parts of campus. The 2022 edition shows Clocktower Quad lit by luminaries. FOR THE LOVE OF LEMURS
In 2020, artist and writer Rachel Hudson collaborated with the Duke Lemur Center on the “100 Days of Lemurs” project, creating a series of fun paintings of the critically endangered residents of the center. Hudson recently published a book entitled “100 Endangered Species” which features a few of Duke’s lemurs.
The book is available at the Duke Lemur Center’s gift shop. If you can’t make it there, however, there are an assortment of lemur-related shirts, ornaments and gifts available through the center’s online store. All purchases from the Duke Lemur Center help support the center’s education programs and lemur care, housing, veterinary supplies and conservation initiatives.
