West Campus Portion of Chapel Drive to Reopen Monday

C1 East-West and C-Swift Shuttle bus routes will resume use of Abele Quad stop

Chapel drive closed After nearly three months of limited traffic due to a water main replacement project, the section of Chapel Drive near Abele Quad will reopen to traffic on Aug. 8.

The main West Campus bus stop in front of Duke University Chapel will also reopen, allowing the C1 East-West and C-Swift Shuttle to resume regula routes.

Since May, when work began on the project, the bus routes had been using a temporary bus stop along Flowers Drive. You can keep track of the locations of Duke's buses in real time with the TransLoc system.

And while some landscaping work related to the project will continue into next week, the sidewalks around the work site will also reopen.
