Traffic Advisory: High School Graduations Held June 13-14 on West Campus

Expect more cars and visitors for ceremonies in Cameron Indoor Stadium

High School graduations scheduled for Monday, June 13, and Tuesday, June 14, at Cameron Indoor Stadium will lead to increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Duke's West Campus.

In all, six Durham Public Schools will hold their high school graduation ceremonies over the two days, with the first taking place at 9 a.m. Monday and the last slated for 5 p.m. Tuesday. Guests will park in the Science Drive Garage and the Blue Zone.

While no roads will be closed for the events, expect traffic congestion and delays along Science Drive, Towerview Road, Duke University Road and Cameron Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. Faculty, staff and students with parking permits will have regular access to West Campus lots and garages, though community members are encouraged to allow for extra travel time and may want to consider using Duke transit to get around campus.
