Transit and Parking Adjustments for the Thanksgiving 2021 Holiday

No transit service, including Duke Vans, will operate on Nov. 25

only the C1: East-West and LaSalle Loop bus routes will operate on Monday, May 31

Duke will adjust its transit schedule and parking lot availability for the Thanksgiving holiday.

No transit service, including Duke Vans, will operate on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.

There will be reduced bus service on Friday, Nov. 26, with no service for the H1, H2, H5, & PR1, Duke Vans and limited C1 and LaSalle Loop holiday service schedules. 

Transit adjustments

Wednesday, Nov. 24

  • Regular Hospital service: H1, H2, and H5
  • C1 every 20 min (1 bus) 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • SWS every 20 min (1 bus) 7:40 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • LaSalle Loop (LL) runs regular service 7 a.m. to 9:10.p.m.
  • PR-1 regular service until 7:33 p.m. (5:30 a.m. – 7:33 p.m.)
  • Duke Vans regular service until 11:59 p.m. (last ride 11:45 p.m.)

Thursday, Nov. 25 - Thanksgiving

  • No Duke Transit, Duke Vans service or Duke Downtown Shuttle

Friday, Nov. 26

  • No H Routes
  • No PR-1 service
  • Duke Vans – no service
  • C1 every 20 min (1 bus) 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • SWS every 20 min (1 bus) 7:40 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • LaSalle Loop (LL) runs regular service 7 a.m. to 9:10 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 27

  • C1 and SWS route run 1 bus each from 8:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.
  • Duke Vans - no service

Sunday, Nov. 28     

  • Regular Weekend service
    • C1: 8:30am – 12:30 a.m.
    • SWS: 8:30am – 9:30 p.m.

Parking adjustments

Parking garages and surface lots may be used without charge with a valid Duke permit Thursday through Sunday for employee and student motorists. Visitors will be required to pay the regular hourly rate.

The Parking and Transportation Services offices at the Science Drive Garage and Duke Clinic will be closed Nov. 25-26, and will reopen on Nov. 29.
