The Duke LGBTQ+ Network hosts a virtual Pride Parade Thursday, June 24, 2021 to celebrate the diversity, spirit, and strength of Duke's LGBTQ+ community.

In this video address for the Duke Alumni Association LGBTQ+ Virtual Pride Parade, President Vincent Price celebrates the community fostered by Duke’s LGBTQ+ network.

Pride is both a time for reflection and a call to action — celebrating past progress and building awareness about current challenges,” Price said. “It is also a reminder that Duke’s greatest strength is its diversity, and that by bringing different perspectives together, we build a stronger, more resilient community. ‘Strength in Unity,’ this year’s theme, reflects this important work.”

The Duke LGBTQ+ Virtual Pride Parade will be held via Zoom at 9 p.m. Thursday, June 24, and is open to all members of the Duke community.
