Despite visiting the Biltmore Estate dozens of times, the dramatic sight of America’s largest privately-owned home still takes Shannon Moran’s breath away.
“Biltmore never loses its wow factor,” said Moran, a Duke population health resource associate. “You always discover something new.”
On Moran’s trip to Biltmore two years ago, she and husband, E.J., spent the afternoon at the Biltmore Winery before taking a candlelight tour of the home for the first time. The tours, offered from Nov. 1 to Jan. 4, allow guests to see the house illuminated by the flicker of candles, fires and other twinkling lights while listening to holiday music.
Duke staff and faculty get $10 off each ticket to Biltmore. No advance purchase is needed but advance tickets will expedite entry.
