2 Students Awarded Alumni Endowed Scholarships For Academic, Personal Achievements

Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition, room, board and mandatory fees for four years of undergraduate education

Two incoming first-year students have been awarded the Alumni Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship to pursue their undergraduate studies at Duke University.

The Alumni Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship covers the full cost of tuition, room, board and mandatory fees for four years of undergraduate education. In addition, Alumni Scholars have access to generous funding for domestic and international summer experiences, including opportunities for independent research both in the summer and during the academic year. The full value of each scholarship is estimated to be more than $315,000 over four years.

The scholarship was established by the Duke Alumni Association to recognize the academic and personal achievements of children or grandchildren of Duke alumni.

The Class of 2023 recipients are:

  • Marley Rose Dooling of Orangevale, California, a graduate of the Sacramento Waldorf School
  • Sophie Johnson of Northfield, Minnesota, a graduate of the American Community School of Amman, Jordan
