New Listen Page Highlights Duke Podcasts

Podcasts continue to explode in number and in popularity, with more than 90 million people tuning in to a podcast in the last month. The audio-on-demand form has also caught on at Duke, where a growing collection of podcasts covers medicine, religion, public policy and more. The Listen page, a new feature in Duke Today, brings together many of those productions in one spot, including "Scene on Radio," the Peabody-nominated podcast from the Center for Documentary Studies; "Everything Happens," a highly popular podcast featuring Duke's Kate Bowler; and "Ways & Means," which recently won a Gold Award from CASE, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

If you’re a fan of the podcast form, or just curious about it, you can now sample Duke’s offerings on the Listen page. (You can also find the page easily from the front page of Duke Today by clicking on “Topics” in the upper righthand corner of the page and scrolling to the final topic, “Listen.”)

We’ll continue to update the page as more new episodes and new productions come on board.

And if you’re interested in learning more about podcasting, the Duke Audio Working Group meets monthly to share tips, ideas and inspiration about all things audio. Contact Alison Jones to learn more: Alison.jones@duke.edu.
