Susan Dynarsi on Barriers to College

Susan Dynarski, professor of public policy, education and economics at the University of Michigan, spoke at the Sanford School of Public Policy on Tuesday as part of Center for Child and Family Policy’s Sulzberger Distinguished Lecture series. Dynarski, who was once a first-generation college student, spoke about her research to address the underrepresentation of low-income students at selective universities, overestimates of the cost of college and procedural barriers such as financial aid forms.
