Durham Mayor and Duke alumnus and faculty member Steve Schewel addressed the students and welcomed them into the community of Duke alumni. Schewel talked about his own journey at Duke as well as the connection between Jewish values and social justice. He charged the new graduates to use their education and values to make the world a better place.
