Two Duke students receive Sotheby's award for art research

Duke seniors Caroline Frank and Jason Kaplan share the award

Two Duke students were recently awarded the Sotheby's Institute of Art Research Award. It's the first time Duke students have won the prestigious honor.

Duke seniors Caroline Frank and Jason Kaplan shared the award, given annually by the Art LIbraries Society of North America for original student research papers and digital projects related to art markets.

The duo analyzed the Berlin art market during the turbulent stretch of time between 1930-1945.

Frank and Kaplan received the award recently during a professional conference in New York City.
