Cathy Davidson: We need not an education about technology as a thing but about a technology that both empowers and disempowers.

Former Duke Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Studies Cathy N. Davidson discussed her new book, "The New Education: How to Revolutionize the University to Prepare Students for a World in Flux," on Oct. 11.  She was joined in conversation by Edward Balleisen, professor of history and public policy and current vice provost for interdisciplinary studies at Duke. Davidson is currently a Distinguished Professor and the founding director of the Futures Initiative at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York
