Former US Ambassador to Turkey Robert Pearson participated in an event titled “Authoritarian Backlash: An Interregional Comparison of Turkey and Venezuela” on Sept. 8. The event was sponsored by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS), Duke University Middle East Studies Center, Forum for Scholars and Publics, and Political Science.
