Sign Up For a Duke Arts Class

Staff and faculty can register to take free ‘DukeCreate’ art workshops

Staff and faculty can sign up to take free "DukeCreate" art workshops during the fall semester.

DukeCreate, an arts workshop series for students, is expanding its offerings to staff and faculty this fall. Most workshops, which take place September 6 through November 19, are held in the Duke Arts Annex and taught by local artists or Duke graduate students.

Workshop topics also include painting and drawing and media production, and all materials are provided for free to participants.

“We’re trying to expand the arts community on campus and bring together creative people,” said Bill Fick, DukeCreate coordinator in the Office of the Vice Provost for the Arts. “We’re happy to include staff and faculty to be able to take the workshops.”

Priority is given to Duke students and then spots will be granted to staff and faculty based on available space. Employees can register for a workshop by sending an email to dukecreate@duke.edu; they will be placed on a waitlist until they are notified by Duke Arts staff about availability.
