Mobile App Adds New Duke@Work Capabilities

Employees can use DukeMobile to check pay statements, expense reports and more

Duke Finance has begun the rollout of several mobile-friendly enhancements for viewing data and approving transactions on smartphones and tablets.

Starting now, faculty and staff will be able to view electronic pay statements by using the Duke Mobile app. Additional capabilities will be available in coming months to track travel and expense reports and time off for exempt employees.

All functionality will run through the Duke@Work section on the Duke Mobile app, which is available through iTunes App Store and Google Play. Instructions for downloading the app are available on Duke’s Office of Information Technology website. Duke@Work access through the app will require use of NetID and password, along with Multi-Factor Authentication

The ability to find electronic pay statements is available to exempt employees only and can currently be accessed. In coming months, other upgrades will be made available.

Travel and Expense Report Approvals

Faculty and staff will be able to view receipts and summary reports, as well as execute approvals for expense reports. Existing workflow approvals will remain unchanged. Once an individual approval is applied, the expense report will route to the next available approver.

Exempt Time Off for University Employees

After the travel and expense report approvals are in place, work will begin to allow employees to enter, review and approve monthly time off records. Approvers/supervisors will be able to review and approve monthly time off records for individual employees.
