Amanda Hargrove Named Young Investigator by Prostate Cancer Foundation

Award recognizes work on blocking aggressive tumor metastases

Amanda Hargrove, PhD, an assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry, has been recognized as an exceptional early career scientist by being named a 2015 Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator. The $225,000 award will support Hargrove’s work on long non-coding RNA sequences that appear to drive aggressive metastases of prostate cancer.
