Bill Chameides Talks Climate and Environment in Online "Office Hours"

The discussion takes place at noon, Friday Sept. 4, on the Duke University Ustream channel

Office Hours with Bill Chameides Friday, Sept. 4, at noon.

Prospects for passing climate legislation this fall, why the Cash for Clunkers program wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and other timely -- and controversial -- environmental issues will be the focus when William L. Chameides appears on Duke's new online "Office Hours" program at noon (EDT) Friday, Sept. 4.

Chameides, dean of Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment, will take questions from the public on Duke's Ustream channel.

Viewers can submit questions in advance or during the session by email to live@duke.edu, on the Duke University Live Ustream page on Facebook or via Twitter with the tag #dukelive.

Chameides is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and former chief scientist at the Environmental Defense Fund. His blog, The Green Grok, explains today's most pressing environmental issues in language everyone can understand, and has been cited by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Huffington Post and other media outlets.
