Durham Tech Graduation Friday to Slow Campus Traffic

Motorists are urged to allow more travel time Friday when nearly 3,000 people arrive at Duke to celebrate Durham Technical Community College's commencement events.

Peak traffic times are expected before 9 a.m. for the rehearsal at Cameron Indoor Stadium and 4:30 p.m. when graduation concludes. Commencement events run throughout the day with a luncheon at noon in the Hall of Honors.

Drivers may experience congestion at Cameron Boulevard (NC 751) and Science Drive; Towerview Road and Science Drive and Duke University Road at Towerview Road and the entrance to Blue Zone. Visitors will be parking in the Blue Zone lots and Whitford Drive lot.
