American Sociological Association Honors Three Duke Faculty
This August, the American Sociological Association honored three Duke professors.
Dean Linda Burton received the Distinguished Career Award in recognition of her work in the sociology of the family.
Martin Ruef, Jack and Pamela Egan Professor of Entrepreneurship, won the W. Richard Scott Award for Distinguished Scholarship for his paper “Community Social Capital and Entrepreneurship,” published in the American Sociological Review in 2013.
Professor Scott Lynch won the 2014 Leo Goodman Award in recognition of his contributions to sociological methodology.
