One of the traditions of the beginning of the academic year is the Duke Symphony Orchestra's outdoor pops concert, set for 6 p.m. Sunday on the quad in front of Baldwin Auditorium on East Campus. A community favorite, hundreds of students and locals bring lawn chairs, blankets and light dinners to enjoy a free night of classical and popular symphonic music.
The orchestra is directed by Harry Davidson.
