Editor's Note: This message was sent to all Duke students, faculty and staff in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act(also known as the Clery Act), which requires colleges and universities to provide timely notification to members of the university community of certain crimes reported on campus.

Durham, NC - On July 4, at approximately 3:10 p.m., an attempted armed robbery was reported by an adult summer program participant on Duke University Road near the Nasher Museum.

The suspects are described as three juveniles. One subject is in police custody, and two others fled on foot away from campus. 

If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the Duke University Police Department at 684-2444.
