Committee Formed for Regular Review of President Price

Consistent with past practice, the Board of Trustees has initiated a review of the performance of President Vincent E. Price in October 2025, in the fall of the fourth year of his second five-year term.

Chair Adam Silver, in consultation with the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Academic Council, has charged a committee of trustees and faculty to gather and distill information for the trustees to consider in its review of President Price’s second term of service. The committee includes: Trustee Patty Morton, as chair, Trustees Nancy-Ann DeParle, Andy Dillon, Sydney Hunt, Michael Rhodes, and David Taylor, and Professors Kathy Cooney, Mark Anthony Neal, Adrienne Stiff-Roberts, and Larry Zelenak. Chair Silver has charged the Presidential Review Committee: 

to invite and gather information and opinions from stakeholders including trustees, faculty, administrators, employees, students, alumni, and others at the discretion of the committee. The review should focus on the effectiveness of the president in leading a complex and ambitious university and in articulating a vision for its future. 

The review should also consider initiatives and activities that have gone well and should be continued and to make suggestions for improvements. Information may be gathered by means at the discretion of the committee including email, surveys, and meetings with individuals. The committee is charged with organizing the information and advice it receives and providing a summary report of themes to the chair of the board. 

The Presidential Review Committee welcomes information from members of the university community. Information provided to the committee will be held in confidence but may be reported without attribution as part of the summary report that will be submitted to the chair of the Board of Trustees. 

Please note, communication should include the nature of your interactions with President Price and/or his team in order to understand the context of your comments as fully as possible.
