Show Us How You Spend Your Duke Time Off in Summer 2025
Whether near or far, your summer adventures could win you a prize, courtesy of the Washington Duke Inn, Duke Lemur Center, Duke Arts Presents or Duke University Stores
Starting today, Duke staff and faculty are invited to share photos of how they enjoy their time away from work – whether it’s a backyard barbecue, beach trip or faraway adventure. Eligible entries will be entered to win prizes from the Washington Duke Inn, Duke Lemur Center, Duke Arts Presents or Duke University Stores.
To enter, photos must be taken and shared between May 21 and Aug. 4, 2025, by benefits-eligible staff and faculty currently employed by Duke University and Duke University Health System.

Deadline for submissions: 5 p.m., Aug. 4
You can submit often throughout the summer (we even have a prize for our most active shutterbug), but only the first photo in any multi-image post will be considered. Videos, collages and pictures by hired photographers are not eligible for prizes.
One Duke-themed prize, courtesy of Duke University Stores, will be given away once every two weeks throughout the summer.
All eligible pictures taken and shared over the course of the campaign – from May 22, 2025, through Aug. 4, 2025 – will be in the running for the following grand prizes, courtesy of the Duke entities:
- A “Classic Package for Two” ($425 value) at the Washington Duke Inn. The package includes a king or double/double room for one night and full breakfast for two in the Vista Room or room service. Sunday brunch is not eligible.
- A lemur tour for two at the Duke Lemur Center.
- Tickets to Duke Arts Presents performances.
Grand prize winners will be announced on Working@Duke in late August.
