Staff and faculty volunteer as disc jockeys at the campus radio station
While working at Duke, staff and faculty can take advantage of a wide range of resources, including volunteering at the campus radio station.
WXDU, while being a student run radio station, invites employees and community members, to go through a series of trainings before eventually being handed their very own time slot on air.
“I think my favorite thing about being here and volunteering and deejaying is the exposure to new music,” said Miguel Bordo, Manager of Instructional Technology for Duke Law. “We get promos, physical promos, CDs and vinyl. We get digital promos. For me it’s fun to pick and choose!”
Watch the video and learn what inspires our colleagues to volunteer their time and remix the airwaves on WXDU.
