As part of an East Campus landscape improvement project, a short segment of the East Campus Loop trail along Broad Street will be closed starting the week of December 23, 2024. The section is expected to reopen in May 2025.
A detour will redirect users of the popular walking route around the construction taking place along the trail between Broad Street and Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. Signage will be posted on East Campus guiding pedestrians around the construction zone and back onto the trail.
This work is part of Duke’s East Campus Landscape Improvement Project and will include replacing trees, extending stone walls, regrading the gravel path and enhancing landscaping and irrigation systems.
Work on the project is expected to be completed by May 2025. For more information, visit the Facilities Management active projects page.
