Volunteers Sought for Duke Health Habitat House Build

Work begins on Umstead Road Sept. 7

Duke Health this year is again sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity house build this year. Volunteers are needed for the Habitat build located at 211 E. Umstead, Durham. Work begins Sept. 7.

Volunteers are needed for the following dates:

  • Sat., Sept. 7 – 12:30-3:30 pm
  • Fri, Oct 11- 12:30pm-3:30pm
  • Sat, Oct 19 - 12:30pm-3:30pm
  • Sat, Nov 2 - 12:30pm-3:30pm
  • Sat, Dec 7 - 8:30am-11:30am

There are 8 slots available for each date.  The portal will close once the limit is met.

Volunteer registration instructions

  • First link to register on the Duke Health Habitat website.
  • Slick on the shift from the calendar and select "Sign Up" from the pop-up box
  • You will be prompted to sign in but should select "Create New Account"
  • All volunteers on-site are required to be fully vaccinated and must complete a volunteer waiver.
  • Following registration, you will receive an email confirmation (if you don't see one, you should check your spam for emails from "Volunteer Hub").
  • Volunteers will receive a reminder email with the location confirmation and parking information 24 hours before the shift.
  • Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather and that you do not mind getting ruined.
