Search Committee Named for New Vice President, Facilities

Search to be chaired by Mohamed Noor and Bob Weiseman

Executive Vice President Daniel Ennis has appointed a committee to lead the search for Duke University’s next Vice President, Facilities. After nearly 20 years of dedicated service, John Noonan has announced his retirement in May 2025. 

Mohamed Noor, Executive Vice Provost and Professor of Biology, and Bob Weiseman, Deputy Director of Athletics/Operations and Capital Projects, will co-chair the search committee. Other members of the committee include:

  • Diontre Earl, Duke Campaigns, Director of Development, Duke Sciences
  • Claudia Gunsch, Muriel Theodorsen Williams E’46 Distinguished Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Kimberly Hewitt, Vice President for Institutional Equity and Chief Diversity Officer
  • Adam Klein, Associate Vice President for Economic Development
  • Antwan Lofton, Vice President, Human Resources
  • Mary Pat McMahon, Vice President and Vice Provost of Student Affairs
  • Moria Montalbano, Associate Dean, Space Management and Research Resources, School of Medicine
  • Rachel Satterfield, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer
  • Daniel Scolnic, Associate Professor of Physics, Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics
  • Toddi Steelman, Vice President and Vice Provost of Climate and Sustainability
  • Robin Thomas, Executive Director, Engineering & Operations, Duke Health

The committee has been charged with conducting a national search to identify a diverse pool of candidates for the position. Executive search firm Helbling, a ZRG company, will support the committee.
