Power has been restored to the building behind The Graduate School located at 2127 Campus Drive.

Power has been restored to all but the building behind The Graduate School located at 2127 Campus Drive.
According to Facilities Management, the power outage was related to an electrical transformer that failed due to a large black snake that crawled inside the equipment. The transformer will need to be replaced, and crews are working to install the new equipment restore power by Friday evening.
Update: 10:15 a.m.
At this time, power has been restored to all buildings affected except for the annex building behind The Graduate School at 2127 Campus Drive.

Several buildings on campus lost power on Friday around 7:30 a.m. due to a breaker tripping. The outage also affected the traffic light at Duke University Road and Chapel Drive.
Duke Campus Police responded to assist with traffic flow, and Facilities Management is investigating the cause of the outage, which seems mostly isolated to buildings along Campus Drive and Anderson Street.
No other utilities or other services appear to be affected, and the remainder of campus is not affected.
