Duke will make adjustments to transit routes and parking facilities on Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
Transit
The following routes will operate on Monday, Sept. 2:
C1: East-West from 7:00am to 11:00pm (2 buses; 1 bus after 8pm) Bus arrives every 10 minutes
SWS: Swift Avenue Shuttle from 7:00am to 9:00pm (1 bus) Bus arrives every 20 minutes
LL: LaSalle Loop from 7:00am to 7:58pm (1 bus) Bus arrives every 24 minutes
LNC: Lancaster Commons from 7:30am – 7:57pm (1 bus) Bus arrives every 25 minutes
Passengers are encouraged to use TransLoc to see the location of the buses.
These routes will not be in service on Labor Day:
H1: Remote Health System Lots
H2: Hospital Loop
PR1: Bassett-Research
Weekend Circulator Van
Duke Van Services
All routes resume regular schedules on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Parking
Many parking garages and surface lots will operate under weekend access rules for employee and student motorists.
Parking Garage 1, Parking Garage 2, Parking Garage 3, Research Drive Garage and Science Drive Garage may be used on Labor Day without charge with a valid Duke permit. Visitors will be required to pay the regular hourly rate.
The Circuit Dr. lot and Chemistry lot will be available with a valid annual permit on Monday, Sept. 3.
Parking Garage 4, Allen lot, Fuqua lot, Law lot, Public Policy lot and Card lot will be restricted to their appropriate permits on Labor Day.
The Parking and Transportation Services offices at the Science Drive Garage and Duke Clinic will be closed on Sept. 2.
