Register Now for Duke Caregivers Community Event in September
Caregivers for adult loved ones or professionals seeking to enhance skills can discover resources and more

All those issues and more will be addressed at the fourth annual Duke Caregiver Community Event at Durham’s Sheraton Imperial Hotel on Sept. 5.
Registration for the event is now open, and it is expected to reach capacity; anyone interested in attending should register soon.
The in-person event features education sessions, information on a variety of support options, an adult incontinence product bank, a wellness clinic and a “creating a safe space” demonstration area.
“These are things that Duke provides, but also available in the general community,” Clagett said. “It’s sort of a one-stop shop where people can learn.”
Event registration is $15, or $10 without lunch.
A professional continuing education track is also available for $75, with four sessions offered along with a networking event.
Clagett said about 1,500 people are expected to visit the full event, with more than 100 exhibitors and sponsors.
Earlier this year, the 18-person team of Duke Caregiver Community Event organizers was honored with the Duke Presidential Award.
