Updates to the HR Policy Manual Effective June 1, 2024
As part of a regular review process, Human Resources has updated the online HR Policy Manual with the changes to the following policies and procedures, which are effective June 1, 2024.
- Recruitment and Hiring Policy: language updated to reflect that reference checks and verification of credentials are done where applicable as part of the hiring process.
- Reference & Background Checks Policy: language updated to reflect that reference checks and verification of credentials are done where applicable as part of the hiring process.
- Health System Pay Structure & Processes Policy: language updated to remove references to Private Diagnostic Clinic, replace references to Rewards & Recognition with Compensation, and reflect current practice of administering pay increases based on market competitiveness rather than merit.
- Access to Duke or Department Personnel File(s) and Recordkeeping Requirements Policy: Added language reflecting that certain information from personnel files may be provided to federal or state agencies when required by the provisions of an applicable contract or grant.
