Fifteen years ago, Duke set the ambitious goal of being carbon neutral by 2024, and university leaders have been innovating and improving operations to help us reach that goal, even as the campus continued to grow.
For Duke to be carbon neutral, it has changed fuel sources, improved efficiencies and created carbon offset credits to reach a net amount of no new greenhouse gas.
