The Provost of Duke University conducts regular reviews of all deans, vice provosts, senior staff, and faculty who have major administrative positions reporting to the Provost. Provost Alec D. Gallimore has appointed a committee to conduct a review of Greg Dye, executive director of the Duke Lemur Center. Dye has served in his position since July 2019.
Members of the review committee are:
- Susan Alberts (Chair), Dean of Natural Sciences, Trinity School of Arts and Sciences, Robert F. Durden Distinguished Professor of Biology
- Chris Beyrer, Director of the Duke Global Health Institute, Professor of Medicine
- Doug Boyer, Associate Professor of Evolutionary Anthropology
- Jennifer Groh, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience
- Paul Magwene, Professor of Biology
- Subhrendu Pattanayak, Oak Foundation Distinguished Professor of Environmental and Energy Policy
- Anne Yoder, Braxton Craven Distinguished Professor of Evolutionary Biology
An important part of the review process is gathering input from the University’s many constituencies. Observations regarding the executive director’s leadership and suggestions for the future of the Duke Lemur Center are important to the committee’s work. The committee invites you to share your thoughts by email or using this Online Form.
Communication should include the nature of your interactions with the Duke Lemur Center as well as with Greg Dye and his team so that the committee can understand the context of your comments as fully as possible.
All input will be treated as confidential, to be shared with the members of the review committee only. An aggregate summary of submitted communications will be included in the committee’s written report to the Provost. The deadline for submitting comments is April 30.
