Celebrate the Holidays at Duke’s Employee Holiday Concert

The University Chorale from UNC-Charlotte will perform at the annual event on Nov. 30

The annual concert for faculty, staff and friends will be held at 11 a.m. at the Duke University Chapel.

Kick off the holiday season with your colleagues at the annual holiday concert hosted by Duke Human Resources in Duke University Chapel on Nov. 30 at 11 a.m.

The University Chorale from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte will headline the 30-minute event, performing holiday classics and carols such as “Deck the Halls” and “Ding Dong Merrily on High.” A mixed chorus consisting of music majors and non-music majors, the chorale performs throughout the southeastern United States and has been showcased alongside the Charlotte Master Chorale and the Charlotte Symphony.

"The concert is a moment that we collectively, as a Duke community, get to pause as a family and just sit, reflect and listen to the wonderful music that will be offered by the choir," said Antwan Lofton, Vice President for Duke Human Resources. "We're excited to take that moment to spend time together as a work-family since so many people will be traveling and spending time with their families over winter break.”

The first 300 staff and faculty in attendance will receive a special gift, and a reception will follow the concert outside the Chapel.
