Duke Football is offering a ticket deal to staff and faculty for the Nov. 2 game against Wake Forest
Duke will host a nationally televised football game on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, against Wake Forest University.
About 20,000 fans are expected to attend the game at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. A similar number of employees will be leaving work for the day at about the same time. This convergence will generate significant traffic congestion on and around campus beginning in late afternoon.
Parking in the core of campus will be constrained with considerably higher traffic expected in the Research Drive/Circuit Drive and the Yearby Avenue/Flowers Drive areas. Parking lots for game traffic will open to the public starting at 5 p.m., and those who plan to attend the game are encouraged to use Duke transit, walk from normal parking locations, or carpool to reduce traffic congestion.
Duke Football is offering a ticket deal to Duke staff and faculty that comes with free parking in general public lots. Employees can buy one to three tickets for $15 each, a 50% savings, or four or more tickets for $12.50 each, a 58% savings.
On the game of the game managers at Duke have been encouraged to be as flexible as possible to allow employees who are not attending the game to depart early or work from home where feasible to reduce congestion on roads on and around campus in the afternoon.
