Said@Duke: Nelson Baker on Creating the Lifetime University

Nelson Baker, Georgia Tech: "“I think this is a moment for higher education to really think differently because our society and the world’s society needs what you do.”

Nelson C. Baker, the dean of Professional Education at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a professor in the university’s School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, spoke last week at “Creating the Lifetime University: Georgia Tech’s Journey,” which was hosted by Duke Learning Innovation & Continuing Studies.

This past July, Georgia Tech launched under Baker's leadership a Division of Lifetime Learning. Baker discussed the evolution of lifetime learning, Georgia Tech’s journey in learning innovation, and what the future may hold.
